Yadira has a Master’s Degree in Social Work and a Bachelor’s Degree with a focus on Education. For most of her life, she wanted to become a teacher. She spent several years working in school settings and wanted to make a bigger impact in the world.
She focuses on getting to the root and core of the concerns and worries of the children She serves. She feels that to work closely and dive into a person’s heart, feelings, emotions, trauma, setbacks, and insecurities you have to work with them outside of the classroom setting.
Yadira is experiences in working with undocumented minor populations migrating from places like Honduras, Mexico, Guatemala, and El Salvador reuniting the minors with their families within the United States. As a Clinician working with undocumented minors, she was able to focus on the emotions and behaviors of children between ages of 4 and 7 years old. Yadira has experience working in private practice settings with teens and adults up until the age of 52.
Yadira recently relocated from New York to Florida. While in New York, Yadira worked as a Hospice Social Worker. Her empathetic approach allowed her to guide client’s through the toughest stages in life, such as death/loss and the grieving process. She also worked closely with family members of elderly patients, providing them with useful resources Following their demise.
